A short film highlighting Sierra College students and the surrounding communities of Placer County, California.

Before I learned the term Intercultural Communication, I created this film for an invaluable course, Ethnic Images in Film, taught by Sandra McDonald at Sierra College.

Intercultural communication may seem as straightforward as it is complex. Culture is so much more than ethnicity and nationality. We tend to forget that our own habits, daily interactions, and values, are distinct and not necessarily accepted by much of the world.

Some simple examples can be how many body parts of a chicken we find appetizing, how relaxed or agitated we are showing up late to a party, or even how much eye contact we give to another person.
